Feet

Feet, were all created for an exhibition of my work held in 2021 at The Bothy in Cirencester. The exhibition, also called Feet, consisted of concrete sculptures of feet as well as some drawings. The sculptures are roughly worked and highly textured. They are figurative but because they have been separated from the rest of their body, they present as abstract sculptures. They are larger than life, and maintain the grey colour of the concrete which makes them feel unhuman. When making them I was thinking around themes of memory, dancing, edifice and the earth.
